Tradeski ("we", "us") is an educational, real-time market analytics platform. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and the choices you have. We aim to collect as little as possible and never sell your data.

Not financial advice. Tradeski is provided for educational and informational purposes only. Nothing on the platform — including responses from the "Ski" assistant — is investment, financial, legal, or tax advice, or a recommendation to buy or sell any security. You are solely responsible for your own decisions.

1. Information We Collect

Data	Why we collect it
Email address	To create and identify your account and let you sign in.
Password	Stored only as a salted one-way hash (PBKDF2). We never store or can read your plaintext password.
Portfolio holdings, alerts, and watchlist	The content you create in the app, saved so it persists across sessions and devices. These are self-reported paper entries, not linked to any brokerage.
IP address	Used transiently for rate limiting and abuse prevention. We do not build advertising profiles from it.
Messages you send to Ski	Processed to generate a response (see "Third-Party Services"). We do not use your messages to train models.
Basic, aggregate usage analytics	Privacy-friendly page analytics (via Vercel Analytics) to understand traffic. No cross-site tracking cookies.

We do not collect real brokerage credentials, bank information, government IDs, or payment details. Tradeski is a paper-trading and analytics tool.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide, maintain, and secure the service and your account.
To save and display your portfolio, alerts, and watchlist.
To ground Ski's answers in the data you are viewing (your holdings and current market context).
To prevent abuse, debug problems, and improve the product.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

3. Third-Party Services

To operate, Tradeski shares limited data with these processors:

Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy. We share only what is needed for the feature to work.

4. Data Storage & Security

Passwords are hashed with a salted, one-way algorithm and are never stored in plaintext.
Traffic is served over HTTPS/TLS. Authentication uses signed, expiring tokens.
API access is rate-limited to reduce abuse.

No system is perfectly secure. Please use a unique password you don't reuse elsewhere.

5. Data Retention

We keep your account data until you delete it or request deletion. Price history is automatically pruned on a rolling basis. Transient data such as IP addresses used for rate limiting is retained only briefly.

6. Your Rights & Choices

Access & portability: you can view your holdings, alerts, and watchlist in the app at any time.
Deletion: you can remove individual holdings, alerts, and watchlist items yourself. To delete your entire account and associated data, contact us at the address below.
Correction: update your entries directly in the app.

Depending on where you live (e.g., the EEA/UK or California), you may have additional rights under laws such as GDPR or the CCPA. We honor eligible requests.

7. Children's Privacy

Tradeski is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

8. International Users

Tradeski is operated from the United States and data is processed there. By using the service you consent to this transfer.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
